NOVEMBER 01, 2016

The $104 Million project is on a 320,000 Sq.Ft site in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea, located in the northeastern portion of the Harbour City development.

The U.S. Embassy project has been designed by Karns Charuhas Chapman & Twohey (KCCT) Architects for the U.S. Department of States Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO) and is projected to be competed in 2019. It will consist of several Buildings : a New Embassy (NOB), a New Office Annex (NOX), a Service Building ( SVC) , a Support Annex (SPX) , and Recreational Facilities (REC). Located in the coastline Harbour City development complex, the site offers a welcoming environment for visitors to the United States and Americans working abroad. A new design standard sets the tone for this new mixed-use community of diplomatic, commercial and high-end residences on land reclaimed from the Coral Sea on a man-made peninsula. This remarkable project serves as a focal point for Harbour City encouraging renewable energy technologies while incorporating indigenous design aesthetics .
